RE: Food Drive @ Black Creek Retirement Community
This is an amazing community we live in…from volunteering to giving. Over the last 2+ years, we have had a food bin outside the library doors for residents to donate to the local food bank….St George’s Church. This church runs the food bank for Stevensville, Ridgeway and Crystal Beach. They provide food to the local area as Fort Erie has their own foodbank. This way the area is covered for food insecurity in the greater Fort Erie region
During this time, Larry & Joan Beeler have worked tirelessly in picking up the donations weekly and taking them to the church. They will be stepping down for this duty and I wanted to thank both of them for their commitment, not only to the community here at Black Creek but ensuring we keep donations going to St George’s Church.
Tom Hamilton will be taking over the duties but would love to have some other volunteers helping out.
