I have been waiting for a written explanation from Cogeco for 2 weeks. I tried to contact the person again yesterday, by email and phone. I have not got a response. I will explain to you what I was told two weeks ago, and hope they stand by it.
When we did speak, I was told that all Black Creek residents that signed up with Cogeco that we would not be getting any increases in our accounts for 12 months.. Depending on when you were hooked up, the billing period may vary.
I was told that if you get an increase on your Sept. bill, that it would be credited to your Oct. bill. My suggestion is that if you contact Cogeco directly, explain that we have been told this by Chris Cheatlley, that we would not get an increase for 12 months.
The 180 months that is indicated on your bill, Is only a guarantee, that you will receive that discount for that length of time, not a guarantee that there would not be any regular increases. This is where the confusion has been.
I am only suggesting that you pay the bill with the increase, so that you are not charged any late fees. The decision is yours.
I wanted Cogeco to put this explanation out, in case I did not explain it properly.
I have done all that I can at this point, and hope that the results will be as stated by Cogeco. However I will still try and make contact with them.
Thank you for your patience.
