The Dapper Scrapper’s would like to remind everyone in the community what they will accept. Some have been dropping off items that should go to the dump or out to the garbage. Please read the following which has been sent by the Dapper Scrappers for more information.
Dapper Scrappers The Dapper Scrappers, as we call ourselves, are a dedicated band of four guys who started out 13 years ago to collect scrap metal on two specific days per year. We have refined our process to now pick up scrap whenever we are called,(subject to Manpower availability), however please note, the item for pickup cannot be inside your home. Only outside on the deck or side of the house. We have also expanded our collections to include not only metals, but appliances, electronics, pop and beer cans, wine and liquor bottles If you have any of the items above that you wish to dispose of, please call to arrange a pickup or you can drop them off at our site on the creek side of the Quonset hut. We sort all of the materials and take them to the local scrap dealer. The monies received are retained by the Dapper Scrappers for community projects. We have funded or contributed to the overhead projector and screen in the hall, and the L.I.V.E project is one of our ongoing programs. We have happily contributed to many smaller projects as well.
Note: we do not take garbage such as wood, toilets, plastics, cardboard, food tin cans, etc.
If you have any questions about an item you are in doubt about, please give us a call.
