Peacefully surrounded by family, on February 2, 2026 at St. Catharines Hospital at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Debbie, loving father of Jackie (Steve) and Lisa (Lester), predeceased by David (Tracy). Caring papa of Morgan, Andrew (Desi), Eric (Kendell), Megan and Grace. Proud great-papa of Lila. Baby brother of Joyce (Phil), Fred (Carole), Linda (Bruce) and predeceased by Pat (Joe). Uncle Jerry to many nieces, nephews and friends. Jerry retired from Stelco Hot Strip Mill after 37 years and went on to drive a school bus for Caledonia Transportation for 17 years. Jerry loved Bluegrass and all music, dancing, family and friends. Special thanks to St. Catharines Hospital Emergency room and ICU staff for the excellent care and support.
The family will receive friends at the HAINE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Wednesday, February 4 from 7-9pm and Thursday, February 5 from 10-12pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, February 5 at 12:00pm. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
