PASSING OF RESIDENT – CAROL SMITH
We are sad to begin the New Year by advising the community of the passing of one of our long-term residents. Carol Smith passed away in Oshawa on January 2, 2026.
Carol and her husband Ed (passed awa in July 2022) moved into their new home at 84 Village Green. Carol had been in ill health for several years and not able to attend activities as she and Ed had done in their early years.
Many of us who knew her remember Carol as a fun loving and genuine lovely person.
Our community extends condolences to her family and friends.

Carol passed away peacefully after a brief illness with family by her side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday January 2, 2026, at the age of 83.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Ed. Loving mother of Judy and Joel (Cindy). Cherished grandmother of Chad. Predeceased by her brothers Bill and Fred. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be placed at CNIB or a charity of your choice.
