PASSING OF RESIDENT – PETE (VERNON) BENNETT
Sadly, we advise our community of the passing of another long-term resident with the passing suddenly of Pete Bennett in the Niagara Falls General Hospital on Tuesday, July 22, 2025
He had been in the hospital for just a few days and at the end was surrounded in love by his wife Ursula and (virtually) by his family.
Pete and Ursula moved into their home at 2 Black Creek Blvd. in July of 2005. For years he was involved in many activities, such as euchre, cribbage, community plays, etc., and he often treated us to his musical talents.
Over the last few years his health began to fail, and he spent his last years at Maple Park Lodge. He has been missed and those of us who were fortunate enough to know him will continue to miss him.
The condolences of our community are extended to his wife Ursula and family.
There will be a Mass, Funeral, Celebration of Life on August 2, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Netherby Road, Stevensville. We will advise the time when it is known to us.
Cremation is taking place and Passages End of Life Services have been entrusted with final arrangements for Pete.
