PASSING OF RESIDENT BRIAN KNIGHT
Such sad news to share, especially at this time of year. Brian Knight passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. He entered palliative care on Thursday, 22nd, and passed away peacefully Christmas Eve.
Brian and his wife Jackie moved into their home at 140 Linden Avenue, in June of 1996. For many, many years Brian, and Jackie, were very active members of our community. He served on many committees and took part in a great many activities.

Brian Knight
June 19, 1936 to December 24, 2022
Knight, Brian passed away peacefully at Douglas Memorial Hospital, with his wife at his side on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of Jacqueline (Osborne) for over 62 years of marriage. Loving and cherished Father to Glenn James (Jeanette) and Jennifer Anne. Proud and adoring Grandad to Jessica (Jason), Daniel, Josh and Emily. Overjoyed Great Grandad to Hadley James.
Brian was born to Bessie (Drensfield) and James Knight on June 19, 1936, in Middlesborough England. In 1959 he met the love of his life and was married on March 12, 1960.
In July of 1966, Brian and Jacqueline chose to emigrate from England to Canada to start a new chapter in their lives. Brian began working at Stelco in August of 1966 where he retired after 30 years of loyal and dedicated service.
Brian will be deeply missed and always remembered for his generosity, kindness, strength, sense of humour, big smile and strong sense of work ethic.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 722 Ridge Road North, Ridgeway on Wednesday, January 4th at 1:00pm. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the service at 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
