Hall and Generator

This has been a very difficult day, and to top it off it is Christmas.

I have been on the phone most of the day, making sure residents are okay.  I have been in touch with management about the situation at the hall and the generator that does not work.

In speaking to some of the residents, there seems to be a rumour that we don’t have a generator, or there never was one.  It has been said that the BCHOA board was aware that there wasn’t a generator.

I am making it very clear, that we, the board have NEVER  been informed that there wasn’t a generator, or that if there was one, that it wasn’t working

This board has worked hard and have always had the residents best interest at heart.  I would never let anyone believe that the hall was a safe place to go for shelter, if it wasn’t safe.  I am thoroughly disgusted that someone would suggest that we knew about it, and didn’t say anything to the community.

Thank God that the hydro is on, and we can all recover from such a horrendous storm.  I hope we never see another one like it.

Thank you to all those residents who helped their neighbours, by shoveling, bringing them into your home to keep warm, feeding them, and giving them the support that this community is known for.  Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Please stay safe and warm.
