Emergency Task Force Campaign

To all residents,

As you all remember, Christmas was basically eliminated this year by a devastating, and dangerous blizzard and subsequent emergency situation.  As a result, an Emergency Task Force was created to mitigate the effects of any similar events in the future.  After several meetings we have come up with a plan to insure that similar events in the future will end with better results.  We don’t have a motto yet but in my mind it should  be “Never Again”.  In the coming weeks you will be visited by a Block Captain.  We have 35 amazing residents who have volunteered their time to work for you so that we are more protected in case of an emergency.  The Block Captains will be knocking on your door and handing out questionnaires that will ask for information that will protect you and possibly save a life in the event of a blizzard, a blackout or any other emergency situation.  You are not obligated to fill it out.  You do not have to answer a question that you deem to be personal.  I encourage you to go over it and respond to as many questions as you are comfortable with.  The questions are designed to help your block captain assess your needs during an emergency.  The information you give us will be completely secure.  Please give these visitors the respect they deserve.  In return they will respect your privacy, help you with the form if needed and accept your refusal to respond if that is the case.  One thing every resident needs to know is that regardless of what we do to help you, you are still responsible for your own safety.

In addition to this announcement I am attaching the questionnaire to this e-mail.  If you wish you can look at it, even print it out and fill it out and give it to the block captain when they knock on your door.   Please do not fold the form.  Click  here for Form

There will be much more information at your disposal as the team completes the plan.

Thank you for your attention on this matter.
